Consider this a companion shot to the one below. I liked the shadows and how the colors were muted by the backlight. I only wish I could have taken a closer shot of a woman with a dog – she was quite a character.

I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. Went from fully manual Russian cameras and self-developed film to digital point & shoot (which seemed like a miracle for a while...ha-ha) to DSLR (which seemed like a miracle on steroids) to an iPhone camera, which still seems like the best miracle of all. This is my preferred camera most of the time now, it is always with me, and if it rings occasionally, so what?
